There’s nothing cheery about prostate cancer, I thought to myself as I began to research my second article for Raconteur. But as I began to research mortality and treatment, I discovered how widespread the cancer was, and how long a man can survive with it when the cancer is localised (inside the gland).

The supplement was published in the Times yesterday, just in time to remind men to grow a sponsored moustache for the Prostate Cancer Charity.
